About the Department: The Department of Physics in S.B.M.S. College Sualkuchi was started in the year August, 1989. In the academic year 1989-1990, the college management has decided to start science section by introducing the subject in higher Secondary classes. In graduate level, the subject was introduced as pass course in August 1996. The major course in Physics was introduced in the year 2003 and received Govt. concurrence for degree course in 21st Aug. 2001.
Aims & Objective: The Department of Physics of the college works for the realization of the following aims:
