About the Department: The Department of Philosophy is one of the major departments of the institution having three permanent teachers and one on temporary basis. The department started its long course of journey in 1982 imparting teaching in higher secondary level. The under-graduate level general course was introduced in the session 1984-85 and Honor course in the session 1997-98. The Department enjoys good report with its students for being friendly and co-operative in teaching learning process. The Department has the privilege of having number of noted teacher who are working now in the different premier institution like Cotton College, Arya Vidyapith College etc. The Department has the distinction of bringing first “First class” in degree level of the college in its 50 years of existence.
