About the Department: The Department of Mathematics in S.B.M.S.College Sualkuchi , was started in the year August, 1989, since its inception by introducing the subject in higher Secondary classes. In graduate level, the subject was introduced as pass course in three year degree (6 Semester) course in August 1996. The major course in Mathematics was introduced in the year 2000, in three year degree (6 Semester) course. The Department has received govt. concurrence for degree course in 21st August 2001.
Aims & Objective: The department of Mathematics was introduced in the college for the realization of the following aims and objective:
(a) To create awareness.
(b) To provide universal Mathematical knowledge.
(c) To spread information and experience of Mathematics as an important subject in human life.
